I recently received the Judges Choice Award for the below photo titled GOOSE TORNADO in the Cascadia Photographers Exhibition at the 2024 Washington State Fair. This photo was taken at near my home by some farm land. I went to my usual birding spot when I noticed several hundred Cackling Geese in the field. All through the late afternoon they would fly up into the air circling like a tornado until they would settle back down in the field.
